Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
This policy explains what Masterpiece Cards ("we", "us") collects through The Viewing Room, our members-only online gallery, and what we do with it. Our online store at masterpiececards.art is run on Squarespace, and Squarespace's own privacy practices also apply to purchases made there.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign in or join. If you sign in with Google, we also receive the name and profile picture on your Google account.
- Your membership, including the order or code that gave you access, once paid memberships begin.
- Your favorites and views: which artwork you mark as a favorite, which artwork you open, and when.
- Your agreement to these terms: which version you agreed to, when, and the IP address and browser you used. We keep this as a record of the agreement.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, recorded in our hosting providers' logs to keep the site working and secure.
We do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled by our store's payment processor.
How we use it
- To sign you in and run your account.
- To check whether you have a membership and give you access.
- To show your favorites, suggest artwork you may like, and show how popular each piece is. Favorite and view counts are shown as totals, without names.
- To send emails about your account, such as sign-in links.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse, such as account sharing or copying artwork.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.
Cookies
The Viewing Room uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to make sign-in secure. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you block these cookies, you will not be able to sign in. Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because we do not track you across other sites.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that run The Viewing Room for us, and only for that purpose:
- Supabase, which stores accounts, favorites, views and the artwork images.
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Google, which sends our sign-in emails through our company email and, if you choose, signs you in with your Google account.
- Squarespace, which runs our store and checkout.
We may also share information where the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Where it is stored
Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, favorites and views while your account is open, and delete them within 90 days after it is closed. We keep records of your agreement to our terms, and order records, for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Hosting logs are kept for a short time by our providers.
Your choices and rights
- You can remove a favorite at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing members@masterpiececards.art. We will respond within 45 days.
- You can close your account at any time by emailing us.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor them, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
We protect your information with access controls, encrypted connections and private image storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account safe.
Children
The Viewing Room is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we make a significant change, we will ask you to review and agree to it the next time you sign in, and we will update the effective date above.
